My name is Jamie Leigh, I've been painting for some time now. In the past, I've painted realistic works for family and friends but found that particular style to be too tight for my personality. While painting realistic I discovered my perfectionism took over and it became stressful.
Early, in the year 2020, I wanted to explore something different and that's when I found abstract and fell in love with it. Now, I let loose on the canvas, exploring and experimenting with texture, colors, and other mediums that work with acrylics. I think the world is a better place with more color in it, don't you think? And, depending on the color palette it can be powerful or gentle.
Today, you will find me in my studio with a mug of tea or hot coffee painting and exploring the connections, color has to do with empowerment and grace. And, if I'm not in the studio painting away then I will be out in the garden making color notes in my sketchbook or canoeing down the Kickapoo river, admiring nature's beauty.
That's why I am here. I want to empower others and take you on a journey of empowerment and grace through art.
